The Council

Constitution

The Council is a committee established to oversee the management and key operational issues of the Magic EDH community.

Composition

The Council shall comprise of an unknown number of members whose identities shall not be revealed.

‘In Secrecy is Strength’ is the motto of the Council and all members are sworn to secrecy. All efforts must be taken to maintain the confidentiality of the identities of fellow members and discussions within the Council. The only exception to this rule is the one member who is designated ‘the Voice’.

The Voice shall be the spokesperson of the Council to the general public.

Meetings

The Council shall hold regular meetings and additional meetings as may be deemed required to facilitate its duties.

Where necessary, Council members may invite other relevant persons to attend Council meetings to present any matters relating to the EDH community.

The quorum for any Council meetings shall be three members.

Any of the Council members may preside as Chairman at the Council meetings. Every member of the Council is entitled to only one vote for any matter in question. Important matters may require unanimous agreement from all members.

Powers, Authority and Responsibility

Absolute Power. Period.

The primary purpose of the Council is to have oversight over the management of the EDH Community/Group, Commander Leagues and the Commander Chronicles website.

Review of Operational Activities

Analyze the performance and/or suggest improvements of the EDH Community/Group, Commander Leagues and the Commander Chronicles website.

Review new initiatives and ideas.

Revision of Policies

Evaluate, among others, the comprehensiveness and appropriateness of new policies and procedures or propose amendments to existing policies and procedures.

Finance

Discuss the state of the Council’s financial health including the financial statements, periodic analysis of the Council’s business operations, and other related financial matters.

Discuss the rationale of any proposal for substantial capital expenditure or any other proposal that would require a substantial financial investment.

Amendments

The provisions herein are subject to such revisions by way of modification, addition or deletion as the Council may from time to time consider fit.
